Sturdy, waterproof coal bunker
The bunker is well designed: flat at the back to stand against a wall; squat and compact and just the right height for filling through the large vent at the top. The small ground-level hatch notably has an internal shelf above it to stop the coal running out. When I took out multiple shovel-fulls the bunker's coal stayed in place. The bunker's curved design and secure doors make it waterproof, a feature which I checked after heavy rain - there was no ingress. The bunker is robust: filled to capacity with 500kg there was no bulging. As regards longevity, the plastic is certainly thick, and obviously it will not, like my old metal bunker, rust. As we are now very aware, plastic has an very long lifespan. In summary, although not cheap to buy, the bunker is an excellent product which performs exactly as advertised.
