Ash Pan Lifter Tool
It works fine; it fits the Ash Pan but it is aluminium... it's very light unlike traditional steel or cast iron... it does not feel substantial. I accept this is a personal and possibly generational observation.
I will be painting it black to appear more in keeping with my fireplace.
All that said, it does the job and it fits, that's what really matters.

Unfortunately the ash pan handle isn't of much use in removing the ash pan,it does not fit! no problem as we empty the cold ash pan in the mornings
